This video was filmed and produced by a B Media Social Justice Correspondant, one of the people we teach how to make films to document our community’s actions. In celebration of MLK Day, Portland activists march and rally at City Hall for houseless and immigrants rights. The annual march, sponsored by Sisters of the Road Cafe, represented a unified front by Voz Worker’s Rights Project, Right 2 Dream Too, and Sisters to demand rights to public space. Demands included a permanent location for the Voz Day Laborers’ Center, stops to police theft of houseless folks’ shelter and belongings, and a permanent site for R2D2.
